Been happy with my titan by ten point. Accu-draw is sweet. A bit heavy though. May want a bipod for her. They make one called a steady eddy. Good luck and tell your wife good luck and welcome back..........m:D

Look at Excalibur, they make the best Crossbow in my opinion. No Cams to worry about and you can do all the maintenance yourself check them out here. I have an Excalibur and so does a friend of mine and they are awesome. Have another friend that has a Horton and he has to take it to shop when ever he needs work done. Check out excalibur here www.excaliburcrossbow.com

she shot the ten point titan tl-7 it is 165 pounds at at jays last night. really nice cross bow.
$699 with scope....... arrows and quiver extra.
seemed a little noisy but maybe it was being in that narrow hallway they shoot at. is there anyway to quiet down?
it was 280 fps at 165 lbs. that seems slow for a high end cross bow

That crossbow will not be any quieter out in the woods! Get used to the noise, because it is there. The bow shop might try to tell you they can quiet the bow down but although they can just a little bit, that is all; a little bit.
What Sabre said about Excalibur is correct. You may also want to look at Parker if you must have a compound type as they make a good bow too.

I went to carbons and picked up a little more speed. The dampners on mine it helped a little but the string deals they came with were no good. Kept faling off. Keep an eye on bolts coming loose.Lots of vibrations. I went with blue loc-tite and so far so good. I know can only shoot two bolts or I'll smoke the next one:evil:. Once she becomes one with her weapon no deer will be safe:yikes:.
You still have to practice to learn everything but I've become a bad man with mine:evilsmile. Go to tenpoints website they got a lot of good stuff. The people there bend over backward to help as well. Tell your wife good luck and welcome to the dark side. ......m:D
