MSD Ignition Distributor Question

I just got a 87 sportcraft with a newer Mercruiser 350 engine with roller cams. I was thinking about installing a high performance ignition on this so that I know I will never encounter a flooding problem, rough starting or fouled plugs. Has anybody on here done this kind of stuff on these engines. If so I could use your advice and some tips. Or where can I find some directions on how to install one. I'd like to install a MSD box too and get all the spark I can get. Thanks for the help I appreciate it. If you need any pictures of the engine I can get them easily.

why that has been a good engine as it is .I have a friend that has a 87 ,25 ft Sport with over 3500 hrs with no problems

Its a new engine with 300 hours on it. The new one is from Jasper and is a good engine but I like to install one anyways. I went on the site and found the one I need and coil. I'll probably have a tech at a Marine place do it. Unless someone tells me how to do it myself like what wires to splice etc.
