Hi all, I just cant sit here for another minute and tolerate the Pike fishing in our state. Of the Hundreds of lakes in this state capable of producing Trophy Northern Pike we have 0. There is not one Lake in this state with Regulations in place that would allow a pike to reach maturity much less trophy status. A 30 " pike is a small Pike. Good to eat end of story. There are Thousands of lakes with these eaters in them and they should stay that way. I also like eating small pike. I take my hat off to Joe Bedner and the Pikemasters for getting some regulation changes but the new regs change nothing. I call out to the Pike fishers of this state to ask the D.N.R to give us 20 lakes spread out over the state with slot limits protecting 30 to 40 inch fish or a 42" size limit straight up on these 20 lakes. Take a look at what a 30 pounder looks like and tell me this fish would not be fun to catch. http://bigfish.homestead.com/1.html we spend thousands of hard earned dollars paying the Canadians to catch them up there and we have the water right here in Michigan to grow our own. The proof of a lakes potential is right in the D.N.R master angler awards. We have the water. There is not one valid reason why we cant have a few good Trophy Pike lakes except that we dont ask. Im asking. Kingfisher
