The recipe I always used for this is. 2 or 3 rabbits skinned, cleaned and washed, and cut up into pieces. Depending how big your rabbits are. Heat a pan with lard. Heat until lard is almost smoking. Salt and pepper the rabbit and put in the pan. Add 1 clove of garlic minsed fine and 1 medium yellow onion cut into slices. Cut the slices in half and add to the pan. When the rabbit is browned on one side turn over and brown the other side. Turn down heat, add one cup of water. And simmer rabbit for 15 to 20 min. In a gravy shaker add flour and hot water and shake well to disolve the flour. Remove the rabbit to a seperate plate. Turn the heat back up to a boil. Than add the flour water little by little until your gravy is as thick as you like it. Then return the rabbit to the gravy. Turn heat down again to a simmer.

For the biscuits, I make home made buttermilk biscuits. Here's the recipes I use.

2-cups of flour
1tbs sugar
4 teaspoons of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/4 cup of Crisco
3/4 cup of buttermilk

Sift all dry ingrediants in a bowl. Add the Crisco and mix it well with a dough blender. Add the buttermilk and mix well with a fork. Put the dough on a cutting board and nead it. Don't nead it hard or your biscuits won't rise. Using a doughnut cutter cut out the biscuits. Keep them about 3/4 to 1" thick and put on a baking sheet. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Bake for 10 to 12 mins. or until golden brown.

When the biscuits are done cut in half add gravy and rabbits. This makes my mouth watering just thinking about it. Hope you enjoy this.
