Ted Nugent is a love him or hate him character, but certainly entertaining.

Kill It and Grill It," coauthored by Nugent and his wife, Shemane Nugent, is probably the only cookbook you will read this year in which the instructions read: "First step: Kill something!"

I wish I liked his music, (I'm old you know) and I wish he wasn't so crass at times. Otherwise, I'm a Nuge fan. I admire his general outlook, and willingness to apply his resources to that outlook.

Sarge: You mean you don't even like his 'Fred Bear' song????? That's kind of a tradition on the local stations to play it around Nov 15th for a few days.......

Basically, if it is running, walking, swimming, or flying, and if you intend to eat it, then it must be somewhat modified. Our ancestors knew that fact. Hunter's and fisherpersons still know that fact today.

The problem is that most city people get their roasts, steaks, fish, & chicken from the grocery store with no connection to the process of modifying a live critter sufficiently to make it into food.

As "The Motor City Madman", Ted became a unique and highly visible "Public Personality." As an avid outdoorsman, he is outspoken about hunting, the "blood Connection" that he feels when killing an animal, and also about eating wild game. He has done what only a few "Public Personalities" have dared to do. He has used his high-visibility status to promote his love of hunting at a time when the anti-hunting movement is growing rapidly.

We need more like him.

Ted IS THE MAN!!!
Rude -N- Krude....
Like it or NOT!!
A Hell of a guitarist also , as well as a super whackmaster....
I have MORE respect for Tedly NOW than ever....
You know JUST what I mean SFK...
My wife was cringing a few months ago when I pulled 6 chickens out of our coop & I whirled them around by the neck -- she went inside and returned a short while later AFTER the dying quivers had left all the birds & I removed almost all of their 'suits'... she said "you have no problem doing that , do you?" to which I replied - "Hell No!! I know where my dinner comes from !"
Most people think it is more 'guilt free' when somebody else does the killing & puts it into a nice pink 'styrofoam boat' , attractively wrapped & pre-priced....
Ted is a great asset to all outdoors people
I am glad he is on our side!!!!!!!!!!
People usually only remember you for what you have done...Mr. Nugent has indeed done a LOT in his short time here on earth !
