Trout near houghton lake

I am going to be going up north this weekend canoeing with my family and I and courious to know if there is any good streams around in the area any info or tips are also appreciated thanks in advance

It depends on where in the area you are looking. There are some tribs of the Muskegon (Wolf Creek, Butterfield Creek) just to the southwest, or the South Branch of the Au Sable is just to the northeast.

My guess is that something will pull back nearly anywhere in that area. :)

Also the Rifle River rec area isnt too far off either just head east on 55
