Just got back from a weekend at Round Lake in Michigan...about an hour northeast of Toledo...I think I did pretty well considering I didn't have a lake map...found a couple sand bars with shallow water leading to deeper water...used a crankbait, tubes, live bait, etc... with pretty good success considering I only did one morning and one evening of fishing...the rest was in the afternoon....plus I had to take out the "group" which consisted of around 6 people...made sure everyone got a chance to fish and actually catch something, which was the plan all along...anyway the lake water was very clear, but it seems to have a really good fish population...tons of little baitfish for the bass to eat...I'm sure there are also crawfish in there too...but I could be wrong about that...anyway I'm going to try to make it up there in the next few weeks again...bring a map this time....and really hit it hard...any suggestions would be great...Skip

Thats right...its right next to Devils Lake...I bet there are some pretty nice size bass in that lake though...lots of one and two pounders..thats for sure...there are so many little baitfish and gills for them to feed on....the best hit was on a buzzbait...that was pretty cool to watch...;)

Fish the sand bar by the south end. Use tubes, worms, or lizards.
Caught a 4lber there last week. Find one of the quick drops with weeds.
Cast and let it sit for 15-20 seconds then move it 2ft.

Where did you launch?

There's only one launch on the lake, on the west side between the Sterling Store and the yacht club. There's no parking at the ramp, so you have to know someone with a place on the lake and park your trailer there.

Besides, you dont want to fish there....there are no fish in the lake!!:D
