Hello all tonight I was out handlining and I lost all power to my bowmount trolling motor has anyone ever seen a inline fuse of any sort for the bow mount? Mine is a 24volt Minnkota which connects right into the control panel in the front of the baot.. I look all over in the boat for any kind a fuse for this and there is not any that I could find.. Slick,
You might want to read this thread. It says the manual said to install a 60 amp circuit breaker inline.
It sounds like they don't have any protection unless you installed it.

My 2001 65lb minkota has a fuse on the Port side battery + , right where it connects. It is a rectangle grey plastic box with a very small black button that pops out. I doubt its like your setup but I would have never known it was there if the previous owner didn't point it out. He said he took the boat to the dealer before he found out how to fix it.

You should have a 50-60 amp breaker.
When I re-did the trolling motor for the TX-17, I installed inline breakers at each battey (motor is 12/24V) that re-set themselves. The Nitro has Factory push button breakers just behind the batteries (same motor 12/24v). Might wanna look for a push button panel somewhere. Thats my guess.

I wanna thank everyone for there help on this but Det07 hit it right on the head there was a inline breaker on the port side battery with a little black button that was popped out and I went and got the trolling motor out of the truck and threw it back on the boat and whamo problem solved:)..
You dont know how much time you saved me from running up to the Minnkota service center now I can get some extra sleep and I am heading back out handlining.. I think what happened was yesterday when get_Outside and I headed out the wind was so bad that I had the bow mount running at almost full speed and the kicker running and it must have put one heck of a draw on the battery's which blew the fuse..
This is one reason I do all I can to help others on this website if it be to catch more fish or to a problem with the boat and here is a situation were I did not have a clue and one of you came thu I wanna say a big thanks, got to love this website;) no wonder why I spend so much time on here:).. Awesome!! I am glad I could help. Mine quits anytime I run it on the #5 setting (max) for very long. If you still need a rider for tomorrow a.m let me know. I was planning on going on my boat but I would like to try hand lining as well.
