Have had the "plastic" rod holders in the past and we would lock down the rods when underway. My question is - my "newer" boat has Big Jon alum. tubes. Will the rods stay in the tubes when underway on choppy water? Thanks.

I have 2 4-rod holders from Big John on one of the different set-ups I run on my sportcraft. I haven't lost a rod out of them in 7 yrs of using them.

Yes. I run a bunch of them. You'll be fine.

Sounds good. Fishing has been great all yr (except tournament weekend ) for me. This past was nothing short of spectacular. I'll be there the 10th thru the 18th, so get with me. I do my best to get ya on them AWAY from the point.

Thanks SalmonBum, I'll be there 11th - 18th. probably be fishing the 12th or 13th through the 17th. Figured on starting just north of town on up to the point. Ferg's Fishery on 68 in a red & white Rinker. We'll be with another boat, the Salmonator, a 26' blue & white Starcraft. See ya there. Ferg.
