minn kota edge

I recently purchased a new minn kota edge 40lb bow mount trolling motor for my boat, I was wondering if anyone else has an edge on their boat and if the directional indicator lights up on yours, as mine does not, I figured it would light up but apparantly not?

A friend of mine put some reflective glow tape on his PD65 Minn Kota - you could probably get one of those bicycle 'flashers' from a dollar store & attach it W/ wire cable ties.
