been watching byron south videos, and thinking about putting a scope on my AR. I have the old style upper, when I look at it doesnt look like you get a good cheek weld. looks like your head would just be floating around.what do any of you use and how do you like it?

Hi gilgetter, by "old style" im assuming your talking about an upper with a carry handle? If so, it does make it a bit hard to get a comfortable cheek weld. Remember though, most shots in Michigan arnt that far so you could probably get away with iron sights (depending on your eye sight).
An option though, would be a scope set up like this, but your POA is going to be a bit worse than a "normal" setup.

Or you could go with a set up like this that would put your POA closer to your bullets path.

are you tryen to say I am old? I only need glasses to see. the first pic is what I have, I am going to build up the stock some, and put some rounds thru it to see if I like it. its not the only gun I have, but most of the time it just sits there. would like to use it more.
