I caught it in the river just south of the Van Etten dam. Do I need to call someone and report it or what?

just don't throw it back, feed it to the gulls. There are spots on the saginaw river where you can catch 100 in a day in the spring early summer.

The DNR would tell you to chop the heads off and throw them on shore.
