Does anyone have any recommendations on a certain manufacture of a coil roofing nail gun?

We did our roof last year and thought we'd save money and bought one from Harbor freight along with an air compresser. We ended up taking the gun back because it kept shooting them straight thru the shingles and it wouldn't adjust any different. We kept the air compressor and when we went to our shingle store they had a senco roof pro 455xp on sale. So we picked it up. He loved it. No problems with it at all...hope this helps a bit...

Porter Cables are the most popular with my customers, with Bostitch running a not too distant second. Senco makes a good gun, but it isn't as abuse resistant as the PC or Bostitch. The PC's seem to last longer between rebuilds and are a tad lighter.
I would suggest a call to Nick at Butki Saw, ( 586 ) 755-9330 he frequently has fully warranted Porter Cable factory rebuilds at really good prices. I am sure he would be happy to drop one in UPS for you.

Thank you for the help. I will look into those. They sure are faster than swinging the hammer.
