I just bought some of those preserved minnows at a sports store. I know fresh is probably best when it comes to minnows (or any other live bait), but is there anyone out there whos had good/bad experieneces with the preserved ones. what about preserved crawlers?

I’ve used those trout fishing a few weeks ago and caught fish. It was spur of the moment trip and I didn’t have any other bait.

Preserved minnows are bought in a bag like rubber worms or in a jar like trout bait . They look like minnows that have died in your minnow bucket and I have caught plenty of fish on dead minnows so I dont see why they wouldnt work . Happy fishin

I've used them before with decent success. It seems if I use live minnows, minutes after I put them on the hook (especially perch minnows) they don't live much longer anyways.
