Hey Guys,

Just curious if anyone knows of any product similar to the Bow Buddy boat protector. Its a fabric screen around a metal frame that attaches to your trailer to protect your boat from stone chips. I though i seen other products like this in Cabelas at one time, but this (Bow Buddy) is the only thing i could find. I want to protect my new boat which already has too many stone chips for only being a year old. I already have mud flaps on my truck which helps a bit, but the stones are still hitting the boat. Any other ideas would be appreciated!:D

Thanks,

Jeremy

Have you checked on the brush style guards that attach under your rear bumper? JC Whitney has them.

Hope that helps!

Yes i did notice those, but thanks for the link anyway. I need something more substantial while driving at highway speeds. Seems to me that those brushes would blow up in the wind and give you less protection from larger heavy objects like rocks, although it probably works well for keeping the dust and dirt down off your trailer.

I opted for the Ultra Shield from Cabelas. It a 3/8 rubber mat that will do what i need. Although i can probably kiss my good gas mileage goodbye, dragging that thing down the highway.

I wish that Bow Buddy wasn't so darn expensive, it looks like an excellent idea!!! Maybe i'll try to make my own.:D

Thanks again, True-N-Sea.
