Does anyone know where I can get rid of old gas ? I'm a little worried throwing it over the fence on the neighbor's yard, because he tends to be a little careless.

I don't know about you,but I would not be very happy if you dumped old gasoline over the fence in my yard.Hopefully you were just joking about that.

Call your counties hazardous disposal or recycling department they usually have a site for discarding gas, paint and other oil based products.

If not too old can dump it in my truck.

What Ive done was saved it for lighting campfires at deercamp or burning yard waste. If you have alot though, it might take longer getting rid of it those ways!

We often run old gas, from boats ect through old farm tractors but throwing it over the fence would work too.

Thanks Howitzer, I'll give them a call. And yes, I was just joking. I usually dig a hole to dump gas that's over 6 weeks old, but now that I've spruced up the yard, I'll try the county instead.

If its only 6 to 8 weeks old I'll take all you got...............no joking.

Well maybe not after looking at your address. 6 weeks or so isn't really all that old for gas. A touch stale but more than good enough to burn in a vehicle.

Geez... if you are throwing away 6 week old gas I'm afraid I'd have to say your nuts!!! Your lawnmower, rototiller, or even your car won't care a bit if it's 6 weeks old. At $3.20 a gallon .... save it for me!

6 week old gas is not old at all. It is still new. I had a truck sit in the driveway with the same tank of gas for over a year. It still started right up and it was a carburatored engine with a broken choke.

Why do you feel that you have to dispose of this 6 week old gas?

Put it in your car, truck, lawn mower, weed whacker, chainsaw, etc. Or give it to me, I'll use it. 6 weeks is not old. The gas you buy at the pump is probably older then 6 weeks.

Shoot when I seen old gas I was gonna say I would take it. But 6 weeks old. Come on gas does not go bad in a month or two. I have used gas that is older then that. I aggree save it use it in the mower, rototiller, boat, car, truck, weedwhacker, chainsaw, if you don't want to use it then bring it to me I will use it in something.
