I saw these in Meijers today. They're supposed to seal themselves when they're punctured (like the ones they make for cars). They were 3-4x the price of standard tubes. Has anybody used them? What comments can you give as to how/if they work?

I've never tried them because I just don't think I'd trust them. If I'm in the middle of a 50 mile ride, I'd rather stop and patch a tire with something I know is going to work than hope the things do what they're supposed to. Again, I've never tried them personally, but it almost sounds like a high priced gimmick item to me.

You buy socks and undies at Meijer. Not your bike parts or your fishing tackle!
