Meeting won't alter Sugden Lake dock, ramp plans
July 11, 2007 - A recent meeting between Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) representatives, a lakes area legislator, and a Sugden Lake property owner and resident to discuss permits for a dock, marina, and boat launch at the lake reportedly did nothing to impact those permits, but could prompt some changes in DEQ permitting processes.
According to state Rep. John Stakoe (R-Highland, White Lake) — the lone legislator at a Wednesday, June 20 meeting in Lansing about proposed additional boating access at Sugden Lake — changes in current state law may be considered at the end of the summer.
