LSCWA Summer Kids Outing

Sat July 14th from 9am till 2pm, the LSCWA will host our annual kid’s summer fishing outing. This year’s event will be held at 7170 Mayer Road, in Ira Township. Prizes will be awarded all day long to the kids. Free food, including a fish fry, with cold drinks and ice cream will be available too. So grab a kid or two and head on over for a great event.

I havent been to the LSCWA summer outting, but if this is anything like the outing they had for the kids in the winter, everyone will have a great time.

KB, this is a great event for the kids and I recommend you take your son and his buddies. I have to work the hydroplane races that weekend so I will not be there this year. Have a great time!!!! Al:chillin:

There will be some loaner rod & reel combos available in case the kid does not have one.

Some of the reels and other equipment was donated by Doug and Bass Pro Shops (Great Lakes Crossing). Some, or all of the bait, was donated by Capt Dan and Lakeside Fishing Shop (St. Clair Shores).

So, yes, if you know a kid who you want to introduce to fishing this is a perfect opportunity.

I've been to a number of LSCWA events and I am always impressed by this club. They do a great job of putting an event together. Though we got there a little later than planned, we had a great time. Lunch was excellent and my son even had a second plate of walleye. :) A big thanks to the sponsors as well as Harry for providing the use of his place.

I'm sure someone else will post the results of the fishing tourny. :fish:
