Well, here we are a couple of days in to this mad house of players jumping ship all over the place. I'm kind of bummed about Schneider leaving, surprised about Bert although I don't think it's that big of a deal.

Why didn't they go after Ryan Smith? With Bert and Lang gone and the cap going up there was room for him. I think he was the gritty hard playing player we were lacking. I was really hoping this guy would be wearing the winged wheel this season.

Now back to my question, I do trust Kenny he's never really done us bad. I'd be willing to bet he still has something up his sleeve!!!! But the million dollar question is what is up that sleeve????

I can't take it much longer Kenny give us some ideas!!!!!>......

I'll stand by and wait for some ideas!!!

It was mentioned on XM the other day that there was a rumor Shannahan was coming back, as New York blew it's wad on Drury and Gomez

Don't know if I would put any weight on it, but it was mentioned

That being said, I just read on TSN that they supposedly have plenty of $$ left.

I have also heard rumor about Fedorov and or Kozlov making a return to the Winged Wheel.

Last I heard Kozzy was looking for $4 mil/year. Kind of pricey I thought.

I'm sorry guys but I really don't see how those guys would help us!!!!!!! I wanted Ryan Smith so bad. I hope we don't sign either one of those two.

Smyth wouldn't have helped much either, though. A $6.2 million Holmstrom? No thanks, Colorado can have his 35 garbage goals a year.

We're in good hands. This years batch of free agents cost a fortune. I imagine he is waiting to firm up the goalie situation and then do some shopping up front. We will be in a position to make a playoff run and have some cap money to spare at the trade deadline.

I would have loved to see Smyth in the Wings jersey, but 6 mil is a little much.

My sentiments exactly. We already have the best net front man in the league. I for one would love to see Shanny come back to the Wings, but I don't think it is going to happen. I was surprised to see Bert go though. But for what he got from Anaheim, they can have him. That could pay off, but it is a real big risk.

at this point, to be compleatly honest, im not to happy w/ the man, but he has pulled it off before and the die hard in the back of my head is keeping me sane right now. where the hell is all the grit. rumor has it that pheonix has offered dom a 2year 10 mill deal:yikes: but dom turned it down cuz he wants to play for the wings, how ever he's using it against kenny to get more bucks. idk how much merrit i put on this rummor though.

im realy hopeing something big will come soon. idk about shanny comming back, i think its all here say, if he does come back, i wont welcome the ass w/ open arms and i dont care what any one says. i certainly dont want fed back, and kozy i dont realy mind. well see what happens. as they satnd now, the wings can still make a run... but they realy realy need some grit! dmac? doubtfull though. i think he'd be rejuvinated comming home... just a thought, i know he wouldnt bring numbers, and i dont care, he played w/ alot of heart and alot more balls when he was here.

Let's face it,,, with the current team, the Wings will be hard pressed to make a "serious" run at the Cup,, and the guys they needed are already signed with other teams. Seriously,,,, what does Dom have against the Wings?? Why does he make everything SO DIFFICULT??? JUST SIGN OR HIT THE BRICKS!! I don't think Kenny could be real happy with the current situation regarding the off-season signings,, or lack there of for the Wings. As much as I love Forsberg,,,,,,,,,, he just isn't the player he used to be. Fedorov,,,:dizzy: . IMO,,,, they better get Markov signed or this season could be a disaster.

Pre-salary cap with an open checkbook from Mike Illitch, Holland was great. With a level salary playing field he's just another above average GM.

I think the jury is still out on Ken. I think he is postioned the checkbook right for this year. I have to give him the benefit of the doubt for now.
