LSC small mouth question

I went out in front of the crocker launch in 12-13 feet of water (not many weeds) got into a few smallies..but started getting perch and swithched over.

Question: Are the smallies closer to shore? 6-7 feet of water...or should I stay out in the deeper water?? PM me if you chose!!

I haven't fished that part of the bay, but north of you in 6-7 feet of water I am getting large mouth bass. I have been hitting smallies on weed beds in about 10 feet of water. "Not many weed" most likely means "not many small mouth"

10-12 fow....look for the isolated weed clumps.

Saturday, I did OK on smallies in 6-8 fow over rocks.

got 6 on sunday with a nice 4lber and 5lber in 10 fow in spotty weeds
