Hey Slick your pictures are becoming a little sloppy looking. Is that because you are having to work for the fish and are too tired to line them up for the camera?

Well, your Monday morning bite trumped our Sunday am outing.

We started around 7am and took 2 in the area we talked about. One at the bottom end (near where the freighter ran aground) probably 7+ and an average at the top, but that was it with a toothy critter that bit us off. The wind started howling and we tried a few other areas that allowed us to maintain the proper speed. Needless to say we wore a partial stripe down our backs.

I brought one of my Detroit River Rat buddies with me and he wasn't impressed...LMAO (probably a good thing) He's sitting on over 400 for the year.

We marked a ton of suspended fish, but I'll be damned if we could hook up. Went as far down as the "upper" Middle Channel and fished along the houses in the first bend. By 1pm I had enough of beating a horse that wouldn't get up.

Here's a brief thought; If the fish are taking advantage of the hatch, they'll probably start feeding late afternoon and chow down all night...

They're all yours for the next 3 weeks. I'm heading south and hope those salt-water critters are willing to play

Have a great Holiday, Slick!!!

Hey Slick......we were there. I think we saw you heading north past us. We were real close to shore. We thought you would fall in behind us but you kept going and disappeared!! We got lines in about 6:15. You know, had to hit Tim Hortons. Can't fish on an empty stomach.
