Well, my fishing buddy told me he's done cranking in 20-30 walleye a day, at least for a little while. He's got his eye on bigger game,....good old esox. He's landed his first 2 pike this year, the largest an impressive 37" and another about 28". He has also reeled in Coho's, Kings, a master angler sheephead, perch, countless silver bass and walleye. Now he thinks he's waited too long to go for the king of the lake. He's even told me how he's going to do it, and how easy they are compared to the other fish he's caught! Ahh, to be 7 again!

We're going to start our quest tomorrow on LSC. So if you see a happy little boy telling all us old farts how to catch muskies tomorrow at the Crocker launch, you'll know we caught at least one!

Good luck to you!

I caught 2 while walleye fishing. I was level with Metro, directly infront of the Crocker Launch.

Our first musky outing resulted in....>drumroll please<.................................................. .....extremely clean lures!
We trolled, and trolled and trolled, varied our speed, different lengths, weights, lures, nothing seemed to work for us. I guess I should have brought some crawler harness's with us, those always seem to catch them.

Spent about an hour and a half tonight trollong for musky, nothing. So we're 0-2 in our outings. Maybe try later in the week.

We got out today and trolled from the St. Clair light to the firecracker. We had one on mear the light for about a minute and lost it due to tangling with the other gear. White-belly perch believer, 7", 80' back off a rod with 3oz. .
