Does anyone out there have any good recipes for Granola? It is something that I seem to eat a lot of but have never made it. I would also like to figure out a way to make a bar out of it. Any info would be appreciated!

I used to make a lot of this years ago....... you can add/delete fruits & some ingredients (like add dates, delete bran, etc.) as you wish. Not sure how you'd make bars out of it, unless you were to add more honey and press the moist mix into a cookie sheet then bake and cut the bars when baked..... may work.
Anyway, here's one I've used with good success....
* 3 c. uncooked rolled oats
* 1-1/2 c. unsweetened coconut
* 1/2 c. wheat germ
* 1/2 c. sesame seeds
* 1/2 c. bran
* 1/2 c. sunflower seeds (raw)
1/4 c. honey
1/4 c. oil
1/2 c. cold water
almonds, raisins, etc. added as desired
Toss together the * ingredients in large bowl. Combine honey and oil, and add to dry ingredients -- mix WELL. Add and mix in cold water a little at a time until crumbly. Lightly oil cookie sheets. Spread on granola and bake in MIDDLE of oven, 225 degrees for appx. 2 hours, stirring every 15 minutes. NOW add almonds and bake 1/2 hour more, or until crisp and light. Turn off oven and allow granola to cool in oven. NOW add raisins, if so desired. Store in fridge or freezer in tightly-covered container.
ENJOY !
(I've got 3 other recipes if you'd like them.)

I have another cheap snack you could try while hunting our fishing thats pretty healthy.
My girl always fixes me up a batch of this trail mix stuff when I go hunting cause I won't eat junk food.
It's 1/3 regular planters peanuts, 1/3 chex mix cereal, 1/3 raisins.
She makes a big zip lock bag full and it usually is a big hit.
