Does anyone know of any good websites that show detailed trail maps of most of the mountain bike trails in Michigan? I mostly ride in SouthEast Michigan.
I know that if you go to the various metro parks, state parks, and county parks these maps are free so I would think there should be no problem if these were published on a website.

John,
I don't know of any websites, however I have my father-in-law checking (big bike geek). I do know of a book they may help you out. It is Mountain Biking Michigan by Mike Terrell. I picked it up at Barnes and Nobles.

Thanks Scott.
I don't remember what book I have but it may be the one you are speaking of. I know it was about mountain biking in Michigan. I know of most of the local trails around me but wanted to check if there are any new ones that have been made. I believe there is a newer trail in Holly and also Novi (made in the last few years or so) but I am not sure.
These are the trails I am aware of in Southeast Michigan. Anybody know of any other good rides.
Stoney Creek Metropark (paved and offroad)
Kensington Metropark (paved)
Highland Recreation Area
Brighton Recreation Area
Bald Mountain Recreation Area
Addison Oaks County Park
Ortonville Recreation Area
Pontiac Lake Recreation Area
Pottawatami Trail
Maybury State Park
Island Lake Recreation Area
Bloomer Park (near Yates Cider Mill)
Paint Creek Trail (Rail to Trail)
These are all I can think of at the moment. Anyone have any other good rides that are maybe an hour or so from the Metro Detroit Area? I am in a northern subarb of Metro Detroit.

You can try the MMBA website and see what they list. I haven't been there in a while, but I'm sure you can also check with the Southeast chapter president and shoot him an email.

After a quick search, best I came up with.
Bicycles are allowed on most State Forest Trails.

There is a trail in Fenton. I will have to get back with you on the exact location.

Don't forget about Ruby Campground. It's 10miles west of Port Huron right on Mill Creek. Great Smallie fishing. I went this morning got a half dozen or so.
