LET SIGN THE BIG CONTRACT AND SEE HOW MUCH IN TAXES THE ALGORES OF THIS WORLD TAKE FROM HIM AND HE WILL COME AROUND.

I hope the Wings know something that we don't about this kid, because taking him over Petrecki just sounds like an obvious mistake. Petrecki is bigger and stronger (6'3 and already 200+ lbs.), ranked in the top 15, and has played against better competition. Smith might be more offensive, but I'm thinking there must have been a reason why he played in the lesser leagues and was ranked as a second or third rounder.

There is a reason he was playing in the "lesser league": so he can go and play in the NCAA in Wisconsin. :rolleyes:

He was ranked throughout the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounds by the different ranking systems.

Yeah, doesnt sounds very exciting to me, but the Wings have brought up some pretty good ones along the way! So they must know something about recrueting
