When I was there a few years ago, I tried in front of the state park (marked alot) and then up towards the state campgrounds.
Get a hot spot map and it will show you the spots.
BTW, Mike did you get the PM I sent about the camera (link to beach camera)we were talking about a few weeks ago?

northwest corner weedlines.....west shore reeds........ drops in front of state park(not state forest campground) south shore............leeches under slip bobbers if fish are not active..good troll with gulp or cranks if they are active...prefer firetiger, yellows and whites here...do no expect 'slick fishing st clair river results!:evilsmile ..big lake..but she fishes small..you should have no problems..if ya got a boat thats a bit large, be careful around launch areas..the water is shallower around the launch than the launches themselves..

20 ft breakline on south shore....8 to 10 ft on north shore weeds..as far as the reeds west shore ..look for any good..feeding run to deep water..the bigger esox types hang out here....the eyes like the 20 ft stuff..weeds at north end hold a greater variety of fishes

Shametamer, Thanks!!!! I showed this post to my buddy. He said he never thought of using leeches before, and is going up to his cabin this weekend and gonna give it a try. He did agree with you about colors. Said the only thing he ever caught any walleyes on up there was a J9 clown rapala. I'm looking forward to going!!!!!
