Hey all,
We are going to be staying at the state park in Cadillac and was wondering if the fishing is any good on the lakes. I hear that Cadillac has some walleyes but there is not a lot of threads on these lakes. I'm one of the lucky campers that gets to fish every morning and night. Any tips would be great.
Thanks,:help:

do a search on here..there are lots of fish in both lakes...i prefer east end of cadillac for smallies, southend drop offs for eyes in mitchells..weed beds at west of cadillac for pike, bout anywhere in mitchell for pike..specs on north side of cadillac bout 500 yards out from canal linking the lakes

I didn't have a boat when I lived there, so I always fished from the public docks in Cadillac. Killed the crappie from about 8:00 to 11:00 PM with pink jigheads, white bodies, tipped with a minnow. Limits were no problem, some fish pushing 14". Can't beat Crappies on UL gear!

Thanks for the info. I prefer walleye but crappie are good also. I'll give it all a try.
Thanks

The best advice I was given for fishing Mitchell and Cadillac, look for the pontoons (locals)
