Cedarville/Hessel - Herring

Going to this area in a week (for 2 weeks). Any reports on the herring yet.
Heard the mayflies are starting to hatch.

Was up to Drummond Island over the weekend to put in the dock and boat for the summer. The bay we stay at was boiling with fish eating may flies on the surface. I could also see them under the boat as we slowed down. The herring were there but I didn't bring my gear b/c I thought it was a little early. Hope to be back up this weekend and I won't make the same mistake twice. We did run into a small mayfly hatch just west of Hessel on 134. The good fishing will be hear real soon.
