Lake Nepessing?

Anybody fished Nepessing in Lapeer lately?Thinking about going but haven't fished it in years.I hear there is a walleye fishery now.Interested in the walleye & panfish,is there still bait shops on the lake?Any info is appreciated.

I've fish Nepessing lot's of times and never caught a Walleye. If you go thinking that's what you're going to catch you'll be disappointed. You can catch some 4" bluegill but don't expect any great number of bigger fish.

The camp ground on the east end of the lake sells bait.

I've got a coupleof buddies that fish it alot and they say you can catch some crappie by the boat club but they aren't anything to write home about. they also tell me that they catch alot of bass and pike on spinner baits don't know if your in to that type of fishing just throwing it out there.
