Hello all. I was wandering if anyone have fished at the rock quarry on 14 mile and Gratiot? If so can you share information about it? Like what kind of fish is in there? And if they don't stock quarries how do the fish get in there? Also there's two other ponds in the area any info on those? thanks in advance.

gotta be careful in there. private property for the most part. fish get in there through the spillway. little branches and creeks from that feed into those quarries. you can follow it along I-94 from the spillway, look close.

Never fished it, thought about it tho, but the fence was little of a deterrant:) I would expect the usual in gravel pits: bass, perch, and sunfish. I'm sure at one point in the past there were no fences and local fishermen stocked it with local fish. I'm talking about the one off Quinn just north of it but I see on Google maps there is the one your talking about off 14 Mile "Beth AHM Memorial Park" is adjacent to it but I don't know if there are any fences there. Let me know if you find a decent access and if you need a partner. I've had luck in other old gravel pits in Macomb county and caught nice bass, so you'd think there should be some lunkers in these ones.
