Placido Polanco is 8,215 votes behind the darn Yankees 2B Robinson Cano from becoming a starter in the all-star game.

Let's go guys and Gal's you can vote up to 25 times. If we had 25% of the MS.com'ers make multiple votes we could be decision makers in the final voting and put a guy on the field that deservers to be there as a starter.

Just my 2 cents.

Heck, vote for all the Tigers!

Oops! That was the numbers from last week. Sorry. But, he's still only 40,000 away! Let's get him as many as possible! 25% of members vote 10 times each 52,000 votes. 25% of members vote 25 times 131,250 votes and he's in for sure. WOW, power in numbers!

That's kind of crazy / weird the numbers I posted in this thread yesterday and the article posted by erodrig4 that came out at 3:30pm yesterday. It stated the 52,000 that put him ahead on R. Cano.

Freaky!

Now we need to hook up Ordonez and get him in the starting lineup.

At last night's game I didn't see anyone from the Tigers organization handing out ballots or pushing the issue at all. They should have ballots and pencils on every seat for every game.

I posted this in the general discussion several days ago. Didn't seem to get much attention. I have voted 50 times already. Ordonez needs our vote the worst. Here's my post: http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/forum/showthread.php?t=188703

Am I missing something or is Curtis Granderson NOT on the ballot. I put him on as a "write in."

Granderson had another triple last night. He's all-star material IMHO.

I just voted 5 times. Once you enter your info and your picks, click VOTE NOW. It will ask you to VOTE AGAIN, click on that, and all your previous picks remain the same. Just enter the security code and unclick the "I want more junk mail" and you can vote again in a matter of 10 seconds.

Nope - not there. The team listed Sheffield in the OF instead. But lets be honest, Granderson, as good a season as he may be having, would never pick up enough votes. The Red Sox are going through the same thing - they listed Papi at 1st instead of Youkalis, who, if it weren't for Ordonez, would be the favorite in MVP talk.

I've been voting once or twice a week - I like to see how the players sort themselves out.

Did you vote for your Tigers All-Starts today?

Remember, write-in Granderson.

Here's the latest results. You need to vote for Ordonez! He is closing in but time is running out. Do not vote for Suzuki. He is trying to catch him. Don't vote for Manny of Boston either. I'm up to 125 votes so far and not done yet.

Keep up the voting guys. You can vote 25 times a day. Mags MUST be a starter on this team and it's a crime that Granderson who is second in the league with extra base hits is a write in on the ballot.

Does Ordonez have to be a starter? He'll be at the game without question, but whether or not he's a starter is still up in the air.

Is that a serious question?? Not only should he be a starter, but he should be the leading vote getter as far at OF are concerned!! He has better stats than all 3 of the players ahead him, not to mention that most of the "experts" say he is the MVP so far!!!

I think you misunderstood, perhaps I didn't state it well - I was asking y2ba if he had to be a starter to watch the game and all following games. Of course I believe he's the best OF in the AL this year - he certainly has better numbers than the leading vote-getters. If it wasn't for A-Rod, there would not even be an argument for AL MVP in the first half.

But the fact remains - he's trailing other OF's because Boston and LA have bigger fan bases and Ichiro is a well-known name among even casual fans. He'll not be left off the AS roster, but without the votes, he won't start.

If hes is not a starter it will be the biggest shame i have seen when it comes to all-star voting. Who are these people voting for? I understand all the kids voting for their favorite players on their favorite teams.....but any fan of baseball who cant appreciate what magglio is doing...is not a true fan of the game. The guy is off the hook right now. regardless, we all know manny ramirez will be sore or have a stubbed toe prior to the game:lol:...so magglio will get the start.

I agree - I try to vote with the intent of the AS game in mind: for the best player. But there are most likely people on this page, perhaps even yourself (how am I to know?), who are voting for Tigers who don't deserve to go to the AS game. One position comes to mind: 3rd base - I like Inge (last I saw, 3rd in AS voting), but A-Rod is putting up career numbers this year. A-Rod is clearly the best 3rd baseman in the AL this year, but I imagine many people outside New York, probably mostly in Boston, are not voting for him simply because he plays for the Yankees. I guess the only difference is that A-Rod is leading the votes at his position.

Stubbed toe? I think Ramirez used that last year. I'm going with swimmer's ear this year.

actually..the only tigers positional players i have voted for are polanco and ordonez.....every other position has someone more deserving. And yes Rodriguez is having a great yr and it doesnt bother me a bit voting for him

Another tip for all you voters at the polls. If you clear your browser's cookies you get to vote another 25 times. Do it again and you are good for another 25. You get the idea.
