Perch fishing

Looking to go perch fishing locally.Is lake Fenton or Ponemah any good?Any info would be much appreciated.

I've seen a lot of perch in fenton.. and my grandma caught a 12"er one year.. after 4th of july trolling a beetle spin though.. That's about all I know though around here....
