You need some offense at the end of the game against right handed pitchers and you still keep Granderson and Casey on the bench in favor on Infante and Thames?!?!?

Am I the only one questioning that decision?

The Rangers had a lefty in the pen they could have used, (not sure if he was warming up or not though) but I never question Jimmy. He often goes against the books and looks like a genius, but sometimes it doesn't pay off. I guess we just have to take the good with the bad. Maybe he wanted to give both Casey and Granderson the night off too. Not saying if I was Jim I would not have pinch hit with a lefty....

He has, but I'll take Grandy any day...especially when you need some big hits

What is the deal! It seems like everytime the Tigs lose a game,
a post goes up trying to blame Leyland. Do you haters remember where
the Tigers were a couple years ago pre-Leyland. Give me a break. Some people always gotta have something to bitch about!

I'm just enjoying the ride. I don't even pretend to know as much about baseball as Leyland has forgotten. I'll be there Sat and Sunday cheering them on. If they lose, oh well. At least I know they gave it a lot more effort than teams in the past.

Augustus, I know what your saying, but I'm not sure effort was the problem. I'm pretty sure Alan Trammel would win with this team. His team wasn't even close to this one in the talent department. Dembroski added a boatload of players, especially pitchers, when he changed managers. Also, Magglio was never healthy when he played for Trammel. Trammel didn't have a pitching staff, like Leyland enjoys.

Tram's undefeated as a fill in manager for Pinnella in Chicago.

Watched a bit of the game on Sunday - awfully weird to see Tram in blue pinstripes with a red "C" on his hat.
