Are the current water readings readings at Paramalee Bridge true?

http://waterdata.usgs.gov/mi/nwis/uv?04136000

It says:
Max was in 1912 at 1640 CFS, but the "Most Recent Instantaneous Value" is at 2,170 CFS.

Looks like the river is up about 2 feet higher than normal too.

That seems pretty drastic, so I was hoping someone might be able to describe the current river conditions...

I've found it to be pretty reliable. They got alot of rain, the river below Foote dam is at 3480cfs right now(13ft!), which is ROARING!

I floated (if you could call it that) below Mio yesterday and it was as high/fast as I've ever seen it (outside of the flood back in 2004 or 03 - i forget when that was) What was knee deep wading water last week was now over your belt line or higher & stopping the drifer was verrrrry tough to do. I'd imagion the entire system is seriously high for a few days to follow.

I have been drift fishing for walleye the last two mornings at the river mouth. The current is smoking. It is fishable but it's a fast trip from US23 bridge to the river mouth.

Unless the SB of the AuSable goes down drastically between now and the weekendanybody can forget about wading. It is very high right now-Thursday at 2pm, meaning almost spring peak levels. Any sort of hatches wil not even be seen by the fish!!! Also, I believe we lost alot of duck nests with this level, unless they were alreayd hatched I would be most are under water:(

Fished the Upper Manistee all weekend, water levels were great with a slight stain. Plenty of Brown Drakes, some Iso's, some yellow stones, and lots of BWO's mostly at dusk. Fish were looking up when some of the bugs were on the water but no big falls while we were there. Fishing should be prime next weekend.
