My dreams are coming true each time it rains. I have built a dam over a previously drained wetland on my property and have re-flooded about 4 acres of timber. The woodies are already using it! It looks great and I just had to tell you guys.

Way to go!! wish more people would do that!
Here is a wetland we had contructed in the summer of 1999. We originally paid for it out of our own pockets, but finally received money from the federal government. It used to be an old cow pasture that was always wet. Since we put the wetland in we have had the following hatch out in the habitat:
2000 4 geese (1 pair)
2001 8 geese (2 pair) 4 mallards 8 megansers
2002 16 geese (3 pair)
The wetland attracts numerous ducks and geese throughout spring through fall.

I like to say " build it and they will come". Looks like a great job. Just give a call when the geese need to be culled. HEHE.:D

Congrats on your project.
Goldy had the Feds come in and build a berm and flood some of his timber. It looks like Arkansas out there. What an improvement and the ducks and frogs thank him I am sure.
