I bought the kit for $20 and everyone of the snaps you tie your line to was on backwards so the lure didnt work. It kinda made me mad but after I fixed them they worked fine and caught me lots of fish

I've got 2 of them. I've tried fishing them about every way I could think of. I've missed 1 fish and caught 1 bass. That's it. Both times I was either frustrated with the lure not catching or just screwing around tossing it out there and was realing it back in fast. I'm not super impressed but I think I'm the only one. Maybe I'm bad mojo on it. Maybe it's not my lure. I've given it a ton of tries. Maybe I'll keep trying it. It's too expensive of a lure to just toss out.

ok I picked up a white chatterbait from a local box store thinking what the heck ill give it a crack. Stopped at a local water hole late afternoon and made first cast, fish on!! landed a 3 pounder. The action on this lure reminded me of a hot n tot but the action was on the rise not the dive. I continued to get strikes after strikes with bass that seemed agitated to kill it. I caught also the smallest pike i ever caught with it too,a 12 incher. It was one of those days were every fish in the water wanted it. Then about 30 minutes before dark i made a cast and made a jig drop retreive and noticed my line coming towards me,I slammed the chatter home! My rod bent over like rosie odonell trying to pick up a donut! (try not to picture that too much it may scar you for life) My drag started singing and then POP! there goes my new chatterbait. I noticed a clean cut so im assuming it was a nice pike. I picked up 3 more chatters and cant wait till this weekend to have another go at em! They are kind of high priced but after that night of fishing its worth every penny to me.

Always one of the first two or three baits I try. Not a miracle bait for me, but a consistant producer for both largemouth and pike. Thinking of trying the smaller version for smallies.

I picked up two at KD. The first cast I made (using my son's spinning reel) snapped the line and the lure is somewhere on the bottom of Cass Lake near the boat launch:lol:.

I have one more and I haven't used it enough to make a thorough evaluation.
I believe Keving Van Dam uses them;).

I posted this on another thread but my go to color is black and blue. Depends on how clear the water is though. When the plastic that comes with it gets tore up ( which is pretty quick) I use the Chompers garlic and salt twin tail grubs . WARNING these will stink up your boat. The fish you catch with them will make it worth it. Buy one chatterbait and a few different colors of those grubs and your all set. Nice thing is those grubs come with a skirt attached so you can take off the one that came with the chatterbait.
