I'd take him on my team in a second.

Scott Stevens, Larry Robinson, etc. all played the same way. They're all in the Hall of Fame.

Fortunately, Wings fans don't have a say in who gets in.

i saw the hit, the guy is a hack.
Glad the league is sending a message.
Apparantly this classless, goon didn't get it after his first suspension.
Hopefully the Sens can take advantage.

and??
Might have a little more to do with the Conn Smythe winner than this douche.
And to compare him to Scott Stevens is laughable.

Why is it laughable?

Scott Stevens never got suspended in the playoffs?

I remember a similar hit to Kariya that he was suspended for. The only thing wrong about it was Kariya had his head down skating throught the neutral zone.

I admit Pronger's hit to Holmstrom was definitely dirty. I didn't think the hit to McCammond was dirty. It didn't look like he meant to hit him with his elbow.

With the skill level he has, he meant to get him with an elbow.

Scott Stevens Raising the Cup = 3 times
Pronger - 0

Scott Stevens, more than anything, is known for his clean hits. key word, being "clean".
Pronger, not so much.

Then let's call it interference. ;)

It was a blatant elbow to the head, and even if it wasn't, you aren't allowed to hit a guy just because he's about to go around your slow gorilla ass.

Pronger is a cheap shot artist and a cry baby. The only message the league is sending we will tap you on the wrist for harming others. This goon has made two attempts at harming other players in the play offs this year. He did the same thing in the wings series, Its part of his plan, He attacks a player who is scoring on them and gets to sit out one game so he's rested. he should be sitting the rest of the play offs out with a fine large enough to cost him all his play off pay. That would send a message to all,
that the league will not put up with these cheap shots and trying to harm other players. I do not have a problem with guys dropping the gloves but I realy don't like the cheap shots. I don't think there is any place in the game for guys that try to harm other players.

I agree. Everyone wants the old NHL back, but reality is, this stuff was much more prevalent in the 60's-90's.

I have watched hockey since the 60's and don't agree. There has always been "dirty" players, but not like today. The equipment of the 60's wouldn't allow the kind of play that happens in the league today. No helments, very little if any shoulder pad, and elbow pads that don't even compare to todays rollerblader. Hits like in todays game would make for a very short career for the "hitter" in those days. Throw out the instigator penalty and let the players decide what is a cheap hit.

I agree, and I am one of them that want fighting and "the old NHL" to return. But, back in the 60-90s there was honor. Unforunatley that no longer exists in the league. I know what hockey is, and I know what dirty is. either way, i respect your opinion. Some people like dirty players and shrug it off as if its cool cuz its always been there. This jerk has a reputation of being a cheap shot, hack that takes runs at stars. Knowing full well, there is no one going to come after him. If this were back in the 60-90s someone woulda had Pronger bent over with his jersey shoved down his throat. Unfortunatly that apsect of the game is gone. So now you have dirty players with no regard. i.e. Pronger. hence the reason for so many to dislike him. And don't think it's just Wings fans.

Well once again Prongers Suspension worked out for the Ducks. Just goes to show that they really don't even need him around
