I bought an old tackle box at an auction and this clipping was in it. A couple others were in it to but not as interesting.

Ah yes, nostalgia. We were up at my Grandparents old place in Mesick a while back. I found an article from 1966 about the salmon plants and an alewife fly for catching them on.
This old stuff is great to find.

No possession limit on musky. No fishing for sunfish until AFTER June 25th. Man, they must have really liked there panfish back then.

What's a strawberry bass?

That's really interesting. I love old stuff like that.

A quick google search reveals that a "strawberry bass" is a black crappie. How they got that name, I have no idea.

neat find. the bit about panfish is really interesting/surprising. I'd love to know the history that led to that regulation.
