Can anyone give me a contact for someone who can build a pair of graphite whipping rods? I currently own 1 of these that was built over on the west side of the state and it is a great rod.

I thought Ice Fishing Nut makes them hope that helps.

Ice Fishin Nut is a rod builder but not sure about whipping rods. His craftmanship is absolutely amazing though. He showed me a jigging rod he was building the last time I was over his house.

I love the Tuff sticks I bought, I don't even use my other one's now.

I just talked to Scott Koehler about building a custom rod. He's currently living in Idaho but has his materials with him. His email is escottk@peoplepc.com . He also recommended to check out Anderson's Pro Bait in Port Huron they may still have some that he built.

I think I'm going to try building my own.

it isn't hard and it definitely doesn't have to be expensive. being a builder i did spruce up one of my whippin rods witih titanium framed guides, more of them (for better line flow) and a much nicer tiptop.

ya definitely don't have to go that route though, get some hardloy or alconite guides that are modestly priced, read some do-it-yourself type stuff, and you too can make a perfectly functional rod. in order to make a work of art it takes quite a bit of experience though, thats where true custom builders really shine.
