Shooting the 07 X1 was very nice. Very smooth draw, solid wall and very fast.

Any experiences with the APA Black Mamba X1 or X2?

Lot's of good reports on AT....

Thanks!

Do you know of any shops that have any to test drive?

Thanks!

The only dealer in Michigan right now is www.jimposten.com Jim lives in Techumseh. I bought my X1 thru Jim, but I gave it to him to take to Kentucky this weekend for the big ASA shoot. Mine is a custom color, all black riser with the skyline camo limbs.
A couple things about the X1. First, it is an awsome shooting bow, and the BC said 328 at 60 lbs, 28 draw, 5 grains per pound. The APA absolutly makes advirtised speeds, no doubt. I have not decided the 5.5 brace is good for me though. Not that it is difficult to shoot, just minimizes the fudge factor if I have a defect in my shot process.

The X2 has a longer brace, but is 340 IBO instead of 353 on the X1, but is easier to shoot.
APA also has a stiff price tag, but not any worse than other 350+IBO bows. My bow with the custom color riser lists for something like $925.

If Jim does not sell my X1 in Ky, you could look him up on Monday and shoot it. The bow is still set up with a rest, peep, loop etc at 28 draw. Draw modules are just a phone call away if you need a different length.

Thanks Cameron!

I actually spoke with Jim today while he was "on the road". Now I guess I know where he was heading!

Did you post pics of your rig on AT, if so, then I have seen it. I have been picking the brains of most of those guys for opinions and experiences on the X1 and X2. It sounds like for me, the X2 would be the ticket. It almost sounds too good to be true though?!!?

I had a couple tell me it shoots every bit as smooth, quiet, and shock free as the Guardian. I just shot a Guardian tonight for the first time and WOW!!!

I greatly appreciate the offer to shoot yours on Monday, but I won't be able to make the drive over to Tecumseh from the West side.

Again, MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

I think the anaconda is the best all around bow they make. I shot one in florida at the asa pro-am. fast, very stabile and a very good 3d bow..

Screamer.
I aint shot the new ones but shot the 2004 with the Bowtech Dually cams on it. I really liked it actually. Ferocious draw cycle, wall like bulldozer, 65% and about 1/32" valley:yikes:

A litle loud on the old one but no more than the other speed bows at that time.

I can't handle the tool kit riser personally. I do like the handle though:D
