I have been known to hunt waterfowl and also frequent the refuge. I spent a lot of time there before this site was started. Haven't spent alot of time over there since their main forum went to hell. The Ohio forum over there never really took off, so I have been spending my time here. I fish more in MI than Ohio anyway, but I rarely hunt in MI.

I'm here, though I don't know how much if any duck hunting I will do this season. My Lab died this past February and I don't have enough time to train a pup this spring and summer as I have a pair of young squirrel dogs that I need to finish up this season. But I'll for sure be in the market for a new Lab pup around Christmas time.

From Ahartz's mention of "Bingo hunts" I think he is confusing hunts at the State Managed Units with 'Fuge as in Refuge hunts.

The 'Fugers referred to here are members of the Refuge Forums and are not necessarily people who hunt the managed units.

Just trying to help clarify and avoid confusion.

As for me, I have more time in standing in line at the managed units than some of the young fellars have duck hunting. :eek: ;)

I'm guilty of going for the draws at the bingo hunts. I always have a back up plan. Good draw we hunt,bad draw we fish. Same road at the Allegan Dam and the Todd Farm. Many lakes and fields to hunt around the area if I cant get drawn in the top 40 picks. BINGO ! if I get in the top 40. It is a blast watching the thousands of ducks and geese come in.
