I think alot more people would post here if there was a waterfowl forum that was not mixed in with the dogs and upland forum.

Just leave them Steve and start up a new forum. I would be more than happy to moderate it.

Steve,
I agree with BaRtMaN, just leave the old and start new. I have never moderated a forum but would be willing to help BaRtMaN.

I have to agree with trout; originally, this post was just for waterfowling, and it didn't see much in the way of posts. There were calls for seperate forums for dogs, upland, ect and the suggestion was made to place all three together since most folks who bird hunt have an interest in all three. Since making that move, it has worked out well. I think that the reason there isn't much action right now is that it is off season and people are busy with other things....fishing, family, the holiday, ect.
Personally, I feel there are too many forums here already, esp. where deer & deer hunting is concerned. Some of the forums see little use, such as traditional archery and the ATV forum. I know most of you come over from the "fuge", and I feel it is great that it has a forum dedicated to the interests of MI duck hunters. Here most folks seem to have an interest in a little bit of everything, and aren't strictly duck hunters. If you feel that there is something we should know about (legislation, DU banquets, get-togehers, ect), please post up......I'm sure there will be some interested parties.

Too late guys, the deed is done. I've seperated the forums. If it gets to the point where there isn't enough traffic we'll combine again.

I confess. I'm a "Fuger". I am also a waterfowler who hunts a variety of game in this state.
I don't own a dog, seldom pat or pheasant hunt either.
I do not believe that the addition of a specific forum creates any division in the members of this or any other forum. It just gives folks with a specific interest or special knowledge to hang out and chat about a common topic.
Previously, if I wanted to talk to folks that I could rely on having good input, I would hit the Fuge. Not that they know anymore however, as we get to know folks better, information can prove to be more valuable. I am hoping that the creation of a new forum is a positive step for sports persons who enjoy the interaction that these sites can provide.
Happy hunting...

Don't believe it splits up anything, I visit many forums on this site. It just makes it easier to find those posts I am interested in at the time.
