I want to fish LSC and I am not sure what to use and where to go.

Could I get some pointers, I have asked this question before and not gotten much of a response so I thought I would try again.

Another question, is there somewhere in the area with in a couple of mile from the crocker boat launch that I can troll crawler harnesses for walleyes? also would that be a successfull method?

right now you may be able to catch the tail end of the run out their in front of crocker trolling crawlers the move all over the lake that is the problem in a couple of days or weeks youll find them out by the shipping channel along with some perch best thing to do is ask youre bait shop of where they are getting them on the lake.

Last year about this time, harnesses in front of metro was good.

pick up some bottom bouncers. lead thing on a two legged metal stick. get some different weights....tie crawler harness on...start with gold or chrome...with red beads...love those red beads....put on worm...two times on the hook, let it trail off. put bottom bouncer down to the bottom, let out another 20-40 feet. Keep free of weeds....troll slowly....1-1.5 mph..wait for rod tip to bounce...fish on..thats the basics.....andy

Does anybody troll spoons and/or body baits for LSC walleyes? I think my boat/equipment is more suited for this type of fishing. If so, any tips would be appreciated-bait styles, locations, etc.

I had a Cabela's gift card and just ordered some Rapala Minnow Raps for this purpose. They looked like they will troll alright at the faster speeds I have to travel. I was thinking about trying off the mile roads in 10-14 fow in the next couple weeks.

Thanks!

Four of us fished the South Channel just below Gull Island with 2oz. BB in 28 to 30 FOW at a speed between 1 to 1.3. Picked up 15 walleyes in 2 hours so I believe that they may be making there move to the shipping channels now. You may want to give that a try for now.

So you work up and down the shipping channel?

I am very familiar with fishing bottom bouncers and crawler harnesses, I am on the Saginaw Bay and Lake Erie using them all the time.

Now I am just looking for the shorteer drive so I can fish in the evernings. I am 15 mins from the Crocker baot launch.

Was that 13' infront of ginos and metro or somewhere else in the lake?

Thank you,

I launched from the Crocker / Jefferson DNR Launch Site & made my way straight across to the Firecracker, only took 15 minutes to get there. I usually fish from Seaway Island out to the St. Clair Light from now until mid/late August just trolling the channel edges. Except for the fishfly hatch I usually do ok for the summer.
