View Full Version : Muskegon float times...
Anyone know of a good stretch of the Muskegon that can be floated in 3-4 hours? Croton to Pine St. looks short on the map, how long does that trip usually take? We plan on going next Saturday and will use our kick boats to get away from the crowds.
Thanks,
Jack

you go to the Thornapple landing and leave a car there. Then go back to thornapple and turn left,go about a mile until the road turns to the right. Go to the end of that road and park your other car there. There are several paths that lead from there and they all go to the river.about a 1/4 mile. It should be a 3 to 4 hour float. Never timed it.the nice part of doing that is your vehicles are only a mile and a half apart and you float about 2 and a half miles of river!we do this in the summer and float with inner tubes just for fun. After we get to the landing my son will ride back to the truck on his bike that we already had stashed. No second vehicle!Hope this helps! Look out for the idiots in there overpowered jet sleds!
