LIVINGSTON COUNTY KIDS’ DAY
SATURDAY, June 2, 2007
This day was created to promote our outdoor environment here in Livingston County. Many kids are not aware of the activities and animal life that abound in our area.
If you know any child between the ages of 6 and 17 that would like to shoot a bow and arrow, try skeet shooting, fire a rifle, blast a paintball gun, cast a fly rod and a spinning rod, find buried treasurers with metal detectors, or watch dogs retrieve and hawks fly, bring them on by!
This event will be held from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Registration is free, and will be outside the clubhouse side door near the outdoor archery range. Each child will receive an outdoor goodie bag. Lunch will also be provided, and all kids will eat for free. Don’t miss out on this opportunity for family fun!
Highlights include:
Full rifle range activities
Two archery ranges
Michigan State Police K9 teams
BB gun ranges
Live animals on display
Local woods and waters experts
Conservation officers from the DNR
Ducks Unlimited
Pheasants Forever
Huron Clinton Metro Parks Mobile Learning Center
There is going to be a Martin booth there also , stop by say hello to larry boone , and myself. There will be a drawing for a new Martin bow rigged for the kids , so dont forget!
