After I come out saying I thought the Tigers would win 105 games, they hit the skids and get hit by the old injury bug. Two losses in a row to the division leading Indians. Key players on, or about to join the DL: K.Rogers, Zoomer, K.Rod, Grilli (got hit hard by a liner), and the worst...possibly Palanco.:( The announcers were speculating he had a pulled oblique muscle and may be gone a few weeks. CRAP! Even though Maggs is in the MVP running, I personally think Palanco is still the MVP of this team. Hope they all get back ASAP.

K-Rod?
Please don't tell me you call Fernando Rodney "K-Rod".
The real K-Rod plays for the Angels and is the best closer in the AL.
Cleveland doesn't have the pitching to hold up all season. Paul Byrd will soon remember that he is Paul Byrd and come back down to earth.

Unfortunately the Tigers don't have the bullpen to make it a sure thing either. Even with Zumaya and Rodney included in the equation, the Tigers bullpen has an league worst 5.3 ERA. I hate to see how high it goes without Zumaya and Rodney. If it wasn't for the outstanding offense Dombrowski has put together, the Tigers would be somewhere in the bottom 2/3 of the pack.

Woops, I meant F-Rod. As in,"Get the F*&%ing ball over the plate Rodney!"

i really wish they would have kept miller up here for bullpen help. Once Rod. get heathly send him back down.
I'm interested to see who is the odd man out when Rogers gets back. I assume its Durbin, but maybe Maroth could be? Whoever is, then they should be put into the pen to work as well.

I completely agree. I think both Miller and Miner should be up permanently in either the pen or spot starting.

It was pretty non_leylan to let Maroth go 8 innings last nght but the right thing to do. Maybe Leyland sees now that with a less than stellar bullpen he needs to lean on his starters more. This would be a good thing for the Tigers.
