Just bought a used '97 Johnson 115/80 Jet drive (2 stroke, oil injection).

I had it out for the 4th time and noticed a little blue gray smoke when I started her up. I also noticed a couple of tablespoons of oil in the driveway a couple of hours after I parked it.

It's dripping out of the jet hole (?) and looks clean.
Is this normal, just burning oil, or a some kind of leak?
I'm not sure how to check the lower unit oil on a jet.

Could just be too much oil in the gas. I've got the same thing happening with my 120 johnson. I'm thinking about pulling the oil injector and just mixing the gas.

I had a 45 Mariner and a mechanic suggested that I pull the injector and start mixing the fuel. I guess some models can be troublesome. If one fails the engine is toast.
