Hydrofoil Question

I have a 16 ft sylvan with a 28 hp johnson. what do you think a hydrofoil would do for my boat. I am looking to get planed out a little better. Do they help at all from anyones experience?

I had a 16ft Lowe with a 30 horse. I put a hydrofoil on it. It did help. But the boat was still underpowered.

I have one on my 14' Glastron. 50 hp Merc. Helped a TON.
