Hey Phish you were right. There definetly was a "Criminal Element" in that stretch of river. Everybody was force-feeding the fish. Most of them were from out-of state and have been going there for many years. The "narrows" a couple of miles downsteam had Snaggers camped at every bend. Did manage to get into fish pulling Ping a tees with the Drift-boat. I think I was a minority fishing legally. But on a positive note, there were a lot of fish.

PS Thanks for the warning and advice.
And people wonder why salmon don't want to bite. Next year you should try that section before the hieght of the season. It's a hit or miss kind of thing, but it can be real rewarding if you do get in on a fresh run. The snaggers pretty much take over around labor day week end, so if you get there a bit earlier then that you can sometimes even have a killer spot all to your self. I've floated that whole section from scottsville to PM lake. A person could get lost in there during high water. Sure wish the DNR would take a little more action in that stretch. Kind of gives me a sick feeling in my stomach when I see what people are doing to it!
Tight lines to you shoe man!
